I slept like the dead last night! Yesterday was spent running around like a blue-arsed fly trying to get all of our stuff organised. I think I’ve mentioned before just how much STUFF IS REQUIRED!!! But I’ve moved on from that and have managed to have a couple of quiet beers after the girls went to bed and a good old chin wag with some of the crew that are camping with us.
We got away quite late by the time the hubby got home from work so it was nearly 8pm by the time we arrived and started to set up. So there went our plans for dinner!! But never mind, we enjoyed our beer battered fish for lunch today!
And for the rest of the day we just hung out by the lake. Miss B went swimming with her dad and Miss A and I just chilled out on the bank with a glass of wine and watched. But what I loved the most was sitting back and knowing that one day, a long time from now, there will be glimpses of this day that will flash through our minds as faded but cherished memories. How awesome is that!
So I’m not even going to bother with boring you with the details… I’ll give you an idea of the perfect little slice of Australia we’ve found ourselves at this year through pictures (which is actually easier seeing as I’m trying to type this post on my iPhone!)
Do you ever sit back and realised that the time you spend now will become cherished memories into the future? Any tips on trying to reduce the stuff when going away on a camping trip?
